The principal promoters of the bill now before the House
of Com- mons for the removal of the Civil Disabilities of the Jews, have-re- ceived an intimation that it is the intention of the House of' Lords to • throw out the bill. In consequence of this intimation, Ministers have. been asked to use their influence in favour of the measure ; hut they have refused to make it a Cabinet question : they have promised, how- ever, to give it their individual support.
