Sir: Mr McWhirter's article (disguised as an advertisement, March 15) on the need for a printing and publishing concern independent of trade union control is probably the most important statement made in this country for many years.
And in Mr McWhiner we apparently have a man who is prepared to attempt to convert his words into deeds. I have sent my modest contribution towards his cause and I am delighted to know that many other readers of The Spectator have done the same. May I suggest that you keep us informed in your columns of Mr McWhirter's progress since it would appear that the national newspapers dare not do so.
