Sin,—You have shown in last week's Spectator that the lady who was repulsed from the Holy Communion in her parish church on the ground of her nonconformity was improperly excluded, both because the Anglican Church is a National Church whose ordinances are open to all members of the nation unless specially disqualified, and also because the rubric can be so interpreted as to allow the admission of all earnest Christians to that holy rite. May not her claim rest on still higher ground,—viz., on the authority of Him Who instituted the Sacrament, and Who said : " Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out " P—I am, Sir, dm,
