Words of wisdom
I commend politicians to pay very close at- tention to the leading article in last week's Sunday Express.: 'Before there can be any question of Britain joining the Common Market there must be one of two things. Either a referendum or a general election fought on the Common Market issue. And if the Labour party is unwilling to fight the issue there are plenty of candidates who will. If Mr Heath fails to take one of these two courses then let him know that his present faithful friends will become his equally faithful and unrelenting enemies.'
