Loitdon Preachers. I3y T. Williams. (Elliott Stook.)—These sketches of London
preachers aro clever, not unkindly, but not without some sharp criticism on the orators whom the writer de- scribes. There is some very just censure, for instance, on the manner in which one minister mutilates the hymns which he employs. And generally, pretension without 'performance, and sound without meaning, which are the common faults of oratory, religious or other, meet with their desert. The little book is worth reading. We shall be glad to see a second series.
