Reciting and Reading. By Edwin Drew. (Wyman and Son.)— Mr.
Drew, who is a well-known teacher of elocution and reciter, gives here some specimens in prose and verse for recitation, anecdotes bearing on the subject, and some "elocutionary lessons," the most noteworthy of which is that on Whittier's poem, "Barbers Fritchie." The hints seem judicious, but the young elocutionist had better not try to practise them all at once.
