" A meeting of some of the leading friends of the Peace movement was held yesterday morning, at which Mr. Cobden was present; when it was unanimously resolved to convene a public meeting at the City of London Tavern, on an early day, to consider the rece t advertisement of the Austrian Government for a loan of seven millions, and to agree upon an address to the friends of peace and of mutual disarmament, on the general question of loans for warlike purposes and for permanent standing armaments."
