A PROMISING UNDERTAKING.
Although it has been in existence for rather less than two years, the City and InternationaMust appears to be slaking thoroughly good' progress. Even in the case of the first report, made up to August 31st, 1927, the figures were of an encouraging _character, sufficient profits being shown to enable the directors to write -off preliminary expenses. .Now, for the full year to August 31st last there is a net revenue of over £66,000, and the directors are able to recommend a final dividend, making 54 per cent, for the year, and, at the same time, to add £10,000 to the reserve and carry forward £1,602. In addition, the sum of £81,195 derived from capital profit on investments realized has been used for writing down the book value of securities. The report gives- very full details- as regards the investments held, and both geographically and in other respects, the risks appear to
have been thoroughly well spread. A. W. K.
