Real life drama
Sir: John Mortimer is right to say that good dramatic plots are hard to come by (Diary, 26 March). He might have added, however, that they are sometimes there under one's very nose.
Elsewhere in his column, he tells the tale of a woman who was so inspired by an Open University course that she left her husband on account of it.
Sadly, Willy Russell got there first. It is, of course, the plot of Educating Rita.
