ANARCHISTS ALL
SIR,—According to your 'Portrait of the Week,' the Federation of London Anarchists burst into the Cuban Embassy and broke the Ambassador's glasses.' The truth is that on Saturday, July 20, a dozen mem- bers of the Federation of London Anarchists and the London Committee of 100 entered the Cuban Embassy in the normal way (by ringing the bell and walking through the opened door), asked a simple question (why former colleagues of Batista were in Castro's government while former opponents of Batista were in Castro's prisons), and refused to leave until we got a reply (which no one there would give). The only force used during our visit came from the Embassy staff (who tore up our literature) and the Metropolitan Police (who threw us out).
Even so, your suggestion of anarchist action at the proposed MPs' office block is interesting. 'Operation Guy Fawkes,' perhaps?
