SATURDAY.

" Civita Vecchia, Nov. 26, three p. m.

" The Consul of France to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.—The Pope de- parted secretly on the 24th, at five o'clock in the afternoon. Rome is calm and indifferent. The Pope is on his way to France. The Tenure has gone to Gaeta to take him or board.

" A vote of confidence has been passed in favour of the [Roman] Ministry."

We are happy to state, on the authority of a well-informed local corre- spondent at Messina, that an almost immediate settlement of the pending dispute between the King of Naples and his Sicilian subjects is expected to take place. One of the first results of the arrangement will be the sur- render of the fortress of Messina and the evacuation of the island by the Royal troops. Respecting the other terms of the treaty our correspond- ent was not in a position to inform us.—Times.
