READABLE Novzas.—One of the Family. By Keble Howard. (Ward Lock
and Co. 6s.)—One of Mr. Keble Howard's usual sketches of -middle-class life. It is written in his customary style, though perhaps it is not quite so clever in its detail as "The Smiths of Surbiton."—A. Sheltered Woman. By Mrs. H. H. Penrose. (Alston Rivers. 6s.)—The story of a very attractive young woman who is made the scapegoat for her unscrupulous sister-in-law. No one should read this book who dislikes stories that have a bad ending.
