For the next three weeks I hope to be in
a more spacious place than the temple of Janus. During that period the contents of another spectator's notebook will appear here— the notebook being that of Sir Arnold Wilson, M.P., whose " Walks and Talks " both at horme and abroad have revealed him as a singularly catholic and perspicacious observer of current events in many fields. His opinions and mine are not always identical, but when we do agree our accord is impres- sive ; when not, there is at least the attraction of variety.
