Rumours have been spreading everywhere this week of the dan-

gerous illness of the Princess of Wales. The odd wording of the bulletins, which seem written with a view to conceal something, has increased the popular alarm, which is, however, inconsistent with their general tenor. According to the latest, issued on Thursday evening, the Princess was improving, though still suffering from what we presume to be rheumatic fever.
