International German Reader. By Edward A. Oppen. (Cassell, Petter, and
Galpin.)—The selections in this book are prefaced by a few pages of grammar, but not more than is necessary to guide the studelit through Mr. Oppen's course of reading. We cannot say that we have gone through the course, but wo have dipped into the book at several
places and recognized some of the old friends of our days of travel. Perhaps the collection might have been larger, but the choice of pas- sages is good, and, as far as it goes, the book is complete.
