Lord and mister

CHRISTOPHER HOLLIS

The Speaker has ruled that the Earl of Durham (renounced) may continue to use the courtesy title of Lord Lambton outside the Palace of Westminster, but within the precincts must be called Mr Lambton.

Lord Latnbton when he goes abroad, Is free to call himself a Lord: Such strange nomenclature alarms And worries Garter King of Arms.

At Westminster his claims are stamped on.

The Speaker calls for `Mr Lambton.'

Since 'Lord' and 'Mister' both are phoney,

His friends prefer to stick to Tony.'
