Sir: Sion Simon writes entertainingly about Le Monde in Cardiff (Restaurants as the- atre, 18 April) and captures, I think cor- rectly, the attractiveness of Cardiff's best restaurant; but not only is Le Monde the best restaurant in Cardiff, it is the only one. Why has the Welsh capital no other restau- rant worthy of review, a situation unchanged over the past 30 years? Suppos- edly the city is becoming European, but where (other than Le Monde) will dele- gates to the forthcoming European Summit eat? From a culinary viewpoint they're in for a grim few days.
