The Emerald Set With Pearls. By Florence Parbury. (Simpkin, Marshall,

and Co. 21s. net.)—This handsome volume is intended primarily as a memorial to the genius of Tom Moore, as displayed in "Lana Reekh." The writer of this notice is inclined to agree with Miss Parbury in her admiration_ He first read the poem many years ago, and still retains a most kindly recollection of it. The intention is carried out (1) by reprinting the poem, with its prose interludes;' (2) by adding musical accompaniments to the songs, a work in which Miss Parbury has been aided by Signor Guido Zuceoli ; (3) by quoting some tributes which have been paid to the poem ; and (4) by giving some reminiscences of travel in Kashmir, illustrated with photographs, water-colour drawings (which, if not reaching a high standard of art, are, at any rate, brightly coloured), a map, &c.
