Advices from Eu, of Thursday, state that the Prince de
Joinville had departed for Cherbourg, to embark in a war-ship for the purpose of meeting Queen Victoria and escorting her to the coast of France. The preparations of Louis Philippe for the comfort of his guests are most elaborate : the place swarms, not only with visiters, but with troops for guards of honour ; and the King's care has descended to such minute particulars as ordering London porter and Cheshire cheese for the solace of the British attendants.
