Mr. James Wood, late banker at Gloucester, died a few
days ago. The Courier furnishes the following particulars of his will, which is likely to furnish plenty of occupation for the lawyers, as the property be has left is estimated at nearly three millions, of which 1,800,000!. is
in the Bank of England.
" Instructions for the mill of me. James Wood. I request my friends, Alderman Wood, MY.. or London ; John t Itadborti. of Gloucester (his attorney ); Jaeobps- borne. of Gloucester. and John Furman. of Gloucester (his leo clerks), to hi' my executors, and I appoint them executors accordingly. And I desire that they a ill take FosseKsiou of, and retain to themselves, all my ready monies. and personal estate, subject to the payment of my just debts ;11111 such lemmies us I may hereafter direct. And a ith respect to my real t•state. I shall dispose :tithe same to such persons, and in such parts, as I shall, by any writing intim sett. herein direct.

Mr. Wood left nine second and third cousins, and Messrs. Jennings and Son have entered a caveat against the will. It is said that Aldtr- man Wood is no relation of the deceased.
