you for a reply to my second letter in your current issue, and I concur in the propriety of your decision to close the controversy to which your article of August 9th regarding the use of the Royal prerogative gave rise. I cannot, however, pass over your latest argument without a vigorous protest against your version of the circum- stances under which the Parliament Act became law, and against your assumption that its rejection would have produced consequences more baneful than have accrued from its accept- ance. The predictions of those who argued and voted against it have so far been fulfilled to the letter.—I am, Sir, &e.,
