READABLII NOVELS.—In a German Pension. By Katherine Mansfield. (Stephen Swift
and Co. 6s.)—A series of sketches of German life, written with a humour and insight, which remind the reader of "Elizabeth and her German Garden." Unfortunately, however, they have not the same freedom from offence against good morals and good taste that distinguishes the work of the elder author.—The Moving Camp. By Eva Lathbury. (Alston Rivers and Co. 6s.)—A story of a middle-class English family who are beguiled into an experimental stay in a German musical atmosphere. Though the book is well written the story does not always conform to the canons of probability.
