Sir Joshua Reynolds. (Nownes and Co. 3s. 6d.)—This book consists

of a large number of process reproductions of Sir Joshua's pictures, preceded by a slight introduction by Mr. Lys Baldry and a list of works. This last is arranged with odd effect according to precedence, and reads like the programme of a Jubilee procession. A collection of the works of a master is in many ways more useful than a small and uncritical biography.

A companion volume on Velasquez is also issued.
