A CHARGE OF PROFANITY

[To the Editor of the SPECTATOR.] SIR,—It would be an act of kindness on your part if you could prevent your correspondents from indulging in irreverent allusion to Holy Scripture. I imagine that many others, besides myself, were offended by the profane use made in the otherwise delightful article in your issue of January 23rd, entitled " Ireland : The Re-Creators " of the very sacred story of the massacre of the Bethlehem babes.—I am, Sir, &e.,
