Tie Orme, the Prince Consort, the Prince of Wales, and the Princess Alice, left Buckingham Palace on Monday, and travelled to Aldershot, where they arrived soon after midday. On Tuesday, her Majesty re- viewed the troops, twenty thousand strong ; she wore a scarlet riding- habit, and rode on horseback, a military compliment reserved for the regular army. In the afternoon the Royal party returned to Buckingham Palace.
The Prince Consort attended the opening of the British Association on Wednesday. The Queen went to the opera on Thursday.
