A Guide to the Churches of Chislehurirt. By E. I.
Webb. (G. Allen.)— About eight-ninths of this volume are devoted to the parish church (St. Nicholas). This is as it should be. The ecclesiastical history of the parish centres in it. And its monuments and records of the past generally have a prepondera- ting share in any interest that the subject may rouse. We noticed "The History of Chislehurst" some little time ago. This little volume was compiled before it, but has naturally gained considerably from the opportunity afforded for using the materials thus collected. Brief notices are given of the three other churches now included in Chislehurst Parish.
