The insurrectionatyspirit in Portugal has again broken out. The downfall
of the Costra Cabral Ministry appears to have been the signal. The Count Villa Real was intrusted with the formation of a Cabinet; and on his failure the Queen oent for the Duke of Palmella, who is doing his best to get together a Ministry. The insurrection has rapidly extended from the Minho au over Tras as Mantes; in which latter province 8,000 well-appointed men were said to have assembled under the direction of a Junta, composed of its most influential proprietors. Another body of rebels had disarmed a strong detachment of the Queen a troops at Amarante; and, having made themselves masters of the bridge over the Douro, had opened a direct communication with the Minho insurgents. Viscount Vin- bass, acting for the Queen, has entered into an agreement with the Junta to sus- pend hostilities for six days; by which time the Queen will have had an oppor- tunity of considering the demands of the insurgents. The whole province of *int had risen; and a body from 4,000 to 5,000 strong had entered Coimbra.
