In this interesting book he describes some of his most striking experiences in mountaineering and exploration.. New Zealand, as he truly says, presents a variety of physical features unknown in any other land of similar area on the globe; it is a veritable paradise for the climber or explorer who desires new worlds to conquer. Mr. Bell's well-illustrated and pleasantly written book gives a very good idea of its wilder charms.
