Miller's Shakespeare
Sir: I wholeheartedly agree with Richard Ingrams's criticisms of Jonathan Miller's productions (16 May). Can Mr Ingrarns also explain why the words are habitually thrown away (a point he only touched on) by mumbling, gabbling, whispering or ranting, and why the blank verse has to be flattened into prose?
