THE CITY wine-merchants Conley & Bar- row have introduced Interclicquot — a telegraphic service which conveys your mes- sage round the world, accompanied by a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne. Cor- by have missed a trick. When my father sketched out a similar service, he envisaged a telegraph boy cycling along with a bottle of Bollinger on the handlebars. 'With Mr So-and-so's compliments', the boy would be trained to say, on delivery — and then, to clinch the reciprocal order: 'Would there be any reply?'
