Sir: Paul Johnson's vituperative and malig- nant call for the

destruction of the Church of England contains an appeal to 'all Angli- cans still attached to genuine Christianity' to convert to Catholicism. Doesn't 'genuine Christianity' include charity and humility, and what about motes in people's eyes? His article is the most vicious and belittling piece I have read for a long time and I ques- tion your editorial judgment in printing it.
