The past week has been one of unsuccessful air raids

on the part of the Germans and very successful counterstrokes by us. The first air raid took place on the night of Saturday, September 23rd, and in the early hours of Sunday, the 24th. Twelve Zeppelins or large aircraft took part in the raid, and two of the ships, ' L32' and 'L33,' both of very recent construction—in a word, both super- Zeppelins, upon which every invention and ingenious device had been lavished—were brought down. One was in flames, while the other was compelled to alight owing to her injuries.
