Q. Mary, I need your help! I am going to

university in October and I don't know how to kiss. This is a delicate issue for me and I am unsure to whom I should turn. Any advice?

B.M., London A. Why not gain practice by targeting someone with a mouth brace? This would give you some valuable experience of primary-level intimacy, and there should be no need for you to feel any sense of inhibition. Your kissing partner will have no means of telling whether or not you are clumsy and bumbling, or whether it is the fault of the brace. You will soon grasp the technique and be able to proceed with confidence to a more spontaneous romantic expression, should you be fortunate enough to see the opportunity arise.
