From Mr Chris Smith Sir: What a good job that nobody believed the man who, according to Michael Vestey (Arts, 24 March), burst into Orson Welles's studio during a broadcast in 1940, to announce that Pearl Harbor had been attacked. If it was 1940, he was a year early with the news.
