Press.)—The first number of the new series of this little maga- zine keeps up its readable character. The short paper on the Japanese painter Utamaro is interesting, and the two examples of his work are well reproduced, as are all the other illustrations. The fashion of not putting the name of the picture under it is tiresome, and futile too, as no one expects magazine illustrations, however good, to be proofs before letters.
