The British Mercantile Marine during the War. By J. C.
H. Beaumont. (Gay and Hancock. Is. net.)—The author, a surgeon of the White Star line, summarizes clearly the good work of the Merchant Service and the reforms instituted during the war, and adds a chapter of personal reminiscences. He does not say a word too much for our merchant officers and seamen. They did magnificent work.
