Lessons on Hunting and Sporting . By Scrntator. (Chapman and
Hall.)— The writer is master of his subject, and has a pleasant gossipping style, but he is a hunting man, and no friend to battues and crowded pheasant preserves. His lessons relate mainly to the management of the stable and the kennel. If, however, he quotes Latin so much, he should be careful to have it accuratelyprinted ; the errors of this sort are veryname- rens. We have no doubt that his book will be welcomed by sportsmen.
