Count Walewski died suddenly at Strasburg on Monday, on his

way to Ulm. He was perfectly well one minute and dead the next,—having fallen in a fit of apoplexy on the floor of his hotel. He was one of the Emperor's few steady personal friends and sup- porters, and amongst these, death is already making rapid inroads.
