Curse of Salieri
Sir: Oh dear! A computer virus seems to have infected The Spectator's typogra- phers or is it the malevolent shadow of Salieri? The advertisement in last week's issue announcing the unveiling of the Mozart statue gives the composer's age as eighty. Would that he might have lived so long . . . The sculpture is of the young musician aged eight.
We have nearly reached the final fundraising target of £15,000 not £15,00 as appeared in the advertisement. Apologies to all your readers.
