(Elliot Stock).—Some charming selections from the well-known " Evenings," forming, indeed, a fairly representative collection from a graceful and refined though superficial philosophy. M. Baude has done his work admirably, and deserves well of English readers for placing before them some very characteristic selections on "Proverbs," "Cosmological Harmonies," and " Magic Sympathy."
