Rogue mail
From John C. Gardner Sir: I can add my little bit of misery to the article by Edward Chancellor (Hate mail', 27 November). My wife and I moved from St Andrews to Oxfordshire in August last year. We contracted for six months' redirection of our mail. No mail whatsoever was received in the first month, so I contacted my MP. Letters flowed back and forth; still no mail. I wrote to both the Royal Mail chief executive and the chairman, received vague replies from minions, but no redirected mail. It is now month three. I aired my problem on the Jeremy Vine Radio 2 show, still no mail. In the end I gave up. What else could I do?
