SIR,—The comparison at the end of Mr. Horsfall-Ertz' letter
on prices is apparently based on the prices prevailing in a high price suburb. There are some millions of people in North London who can get good quality food at much lower prices than those he gives for Germany. I give below prices from current accounts. I have converted Rms. at Is. 8d.
