Much Too Hard ?
SIR,—In one sentence of his article in your April 20 issue, Quoodle reveals one possible reason why Britain has fallen behind her industrial competitors and what she should do about it. That the revelation is unconscious makes it the more striking. Speaking of Amherst. he says. 'I thought that students and professors alike worked much too hard.' Hard, yes; but too hard and even much too hard?
