Brideshead look-alikes

Sir: Peter Shore without his spectacles reminds Paul Johnson (28 May) of Sir John Gielgud playing Charles Ryder's father in Brideshead Revisited. While we are on the subject is there not a more than passing resemblance between the bespectacled Prime Minister's PPS, Ian Gow, and Mr Samgrass?
