Sir: 1 have been commissioned to write' the history of this old and famous school, and have begun my researches. I should be most grateful if any of your readers can assist me by supplying documentary or other evidence, or by telling me where such evidence can be found. The periods for which information is at present scantiest are before 1650, 1685-1752 and 1777-1806; but any help whatever would be most welcome.
