The Commons sat at twelve o'clock today, and proceeded with
the measures before the House. Among them, the Limitation of Actions (Ireland) Bill was passed ; mad the Theatres Regulation Bill was re- ported, and ordered to be read a third time on Monday. On the motion to go into Committee on the Customs Bill, Mr. GEORGE Basums called for an explanation of its objects. Mr. GrausroNE replied, that the bill had almost as many objects as clauses, and therefore they could more conveniently be discussed separately. Some of them were in- tended to check particular kinds of smuggling ; and one conferred upon the Commissioners of Customs the power of examining witnesses on oath. The House went into Committee. The clauses most discussed were the 19th, repealing a former provision that required a bond on the exportation of wine ; and the 25th, which gave effect to the 3d article of the Ashburton Treaty ; but both clauses were agreed to. The re- mainder were disposed of; the House resumed, and adjourned.
