The Elementary Education Act, 1891 (Sweet and Maxwell), by Mr.
Ernest Steinhal, of Lincoln's Inn, will be found useful by school- managers and their legal advisers in interpreting questions of doubt that may arise in regard to the working of Free Education. Though we cannot pretend to expert knowledge as regards the law relating to primary education, it is evident that Mr. Steinhal has made a very careful study of the various Acts of Parliament. The book should prove of value and importance to all persons interested in the subject.
