Parliament is summoned to meet for the despatch of business
on Tuesday, February 9th. In other words, the House of Commons is to have no Winter Session at all, but is to resume the normal practice of the period before obstruction was heard of. It looks as if the Irish Local Government Bill, and Mr. Goschen's measure for introducing one-pound notes and re-establishing the gold currency, would be the only first-class measures of the Session.
