NEWS OF THE WEEK • THE General Election of 1910
has passed into history. • It is true that the 'contests in the Scottish 'Universities . and in Orkney and Shetland are still undecided, but there i seems to be no doubt that these seats will be filled as , before. Orkney and Shetland will return a Liberal, and the ; Universities two Unionist candidates. That being so, we can now calculate with accuracy the composition of the new Parliament. It will be as follows :-
Liberals 275 Labour Members 40
Nationalists 72
Indefiendent Nationalists 10 .... •.• 273
