On Monday General Hertzog formed his new Ministry at Cape
Town. Its only important feature was the inclusion of two members of the Labour Party. Colonel Creswell, the Labour leader, becomes Minister of Defence and Labour, which is taken as an assurance to the English population that no alarming changes will be made in the defence force. Thus it seems that fears of General Hertzog's Separatism will prove particularly groundless. * * * *
